MOA pillar- russian fire from 1 day ago

OK as of now this is a day old and it is hot. Also from russia, this eastern bloc of beat and bass is making me smile. Yeah, it makes me smile... and it is called crow song. I love crows. Random? I think so.

Crow Song by MOA Pillar

Russia is Broken (Beat) Down (Bass)- time for DZA!

DZA is Shasha Dza, coming out of Moscow and doin' time in london. I recommend this guy- he rocked me ont the fly russia compilation, and his album/beat tape presented below is some lovely fractured goodness. Lots of bass, lots of click and percussive, it's just left of normal and I love it. here's a link to download the thing-

Get It!
If you aren't sure, scroll around the player below and get a feel for his work. it's nice.

From Them:

So is the graphical identity of DZA, so is his music. Quick, dirty and raw. His 16-track beat tape “Five-Finger Discount” hijacks you into his kinderzimmer wherein sticker-laden efx pedals render homage to the MPC and DZA is lost behind the screen of his macbook. This tape has detailed textures and beats full of minutiae as well as the heavy bangers.

“Five-Finger Discount” gives you an idea what DZA is capable of. Take cover, and don’t sleep!

Okay- now that you've tasted that, now try this... bassier, BASSIER more seductive and maybe maybe a little older sounding than the Five Finger Discount EP. I mean older as in a big brother or sister is older, not older as in "created before." YEah it's subjective, but these two from his soundcloud do something different to me. I apprecite the range and growth, and shit nobody really remixes kate bush anymore. Most of the people I am around don't even remember who she is! I like his referencing the past- we are ultimately just a collection of our references rolled up into a nice new package to filter it back out as who we are... right?

I really like his work. I wonder what his other references are. I'll find out and let you know.

Flying Lotus Pie Face (My Dry Wet Mess Remix)

More Free Tracks! Get it while you can. This is a slippery remix of FlyLo by My Dry Wet Mess. looks like I'm going to track more of his work down- this is good. More of that LA influence. Yeah, I guess Big Ups LA I am always talkin about ya. something like that.

From His Bio-

Often the brightest lights emanate from the biggest cities. My Dry Wet Mess, a.k.a. Giovanni Civitenga, 27, has spent his life in two giants: ... (more) Rome and Barcelona, but his sound might be easily confused with two others: Los Angeles and London.

Equal parts slack Beats and gauzy Bass, Boom and Slo-Synth, Gio's music goes beyond sound effects to express emotion through the prism of melody. In this realm some call Luvstep or Purple or Wonky, where the guidelines are still being set, young voices can elude easy definition.

Though his father is the bass player for Ennio Morricone's orchestra and a studio guitarist on numerous Italian records, Gio chose a less traditional route to music. Starting at age 14 with a sampler and an Atari, his experiments in beatmaking eventually grew into multimedia explorations.
